Sally’s School of Motoring, a family run business established in 1998 provides engaging driver training delivered by our top rated DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) approved driving instructors (ADI). All our driving instructors are Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) police checked for your peace of mind. Our driving instructors adopt the DVSA’s Code of Conduct and promote the Safe Driving for Life campaign. You will always be safe with Sally’s!
Our History
This Somerset Driving School was established in 1998. Sally, the first Driving Instructor, now director, decided that by keeping driving lesson cost down and training to a very high standard, was the only way to a successful business plan. Sally’s School of Motoring has always been a family run business able to provide learner drivers with top rate training. Since our beginning in Bridgwater and Taunton we have spread our wings to further places although our roots are still in Taunton and Bridgwater we cover Somerset and throughout the South West.
Our Aims and Ethics
Our aims are to provide our customers with a high standard of customer service. We are proud of the standard of driving tuition in this Driving School which is all due to our having driving instructors of a highly qualified status all up to date with the latest driver training techniques all having signed the DVSA – Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency codes, which include code of practice and code of ethics.
All Sally’s Driving Instructors have gone through a police check. While a pupil is learning to drive our aim is to make sure their driving standard is well above the test criteria required by the DVSA – The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency

We have an excellent reputation for our level of instruction helping drivers of all ages and levels to pass the drivers test, setting the standard of safe driving for life.

Nearly all learner drivers who passed their hazard perception, theory test and practical driving test first time were taught by a Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). In our experience it is best to start your driving lessons with a qualified driving instructor. Once you have gained some experience with the basics, you may be able to practice techniques and boost your confidence in between driving lessons with a fully qualified and licensed driver at your side.
YES.
All our instructors are Police CRB checked and regularly update their driving instruction skills and techniques. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is high priority at Sally’s.

At Sally’s we train you to a standard well above the expected level required for your driving test. Our driving instructors will advise when you are ready to take the practical driving test thus ensuring the best possible chance of success.

Yes.
At Sally’s School of Motoring we provide you with one-to-one driving tuition. You will not share the car or driving instructor’s time with another pupil.

We like to keep you with the same instructor and car throughout your course, although on rare occasions an unforeseen circumstance may force a change.

Sally’s School of Motoring driving instructors offer a flexible service and can collect and return at pre-arranged places of your choice.

Many of our instructors work in the evening and at weekends. Please contact us if you have specific requirements.
Sally’s offer a very flexible range of driving lessons to suit your requirements from one hour lessons to intensive driving courses. We recommend as a minimum, lessons of two hours duration since we have found from experience, students tend to reach the required standard in fewer hours overall.
We are not the cheapest, but we do believe we offer the best value for money with our flexible learner driving courses.

All our cars are up-to-date vehicles equipped with modern safety features and dual controls and can be adjusted to suit your stature, important if you are very tall or very short.
